Racer® is a biological insecticide based on a selected strain of naturally occurring beneficial entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana (MCC 0044). Beauveria bassiana is used as an effective foliar application product and soil application product. Racer® infects and kills larvae/caterpillar pests. Racer® contains conidiospores of Beauveria bassiana. The composition is customised to comply with the regulatory guidelines of respective countries. Beauveria bassiana is a proprietary strain compliant with National Bio-Diversity Authority guidelines and has an Access Benefit Sharing (ABS) agreement with the State Bio Diversity Board for payment of royalty to the habitat from where the microbes have been isolated. The strain is under a Patent deposit certificate with Budapest Treaty recognised depository.
